Commercial Launch of the New Corona™ Veo™ Detectors

CoronaVeoThe Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ Corona™ Veo™ and Corona™ Veo™ RS detectors both incorporate evolutionary developments and design improvements around our patented charged aerosol detection technology.

This new detector family combines all benefits of charged aerosol detection for the high speed and increased resolution of UHPLC, along with improved sensitivity down to sub-nanogram levels. It widens the envelope of LC conditions for mobile phase composition to take advantage of ever advancing column technologies.

The Corona Veo detector is designed for universal chromatographic detection of non- and semi-volatile analytes ranging from large to small molecules: drugs, additives, supplements, natural products, polymers and specialty chemicals.

This detector integrates easily into any liquid chromatographic system, HPLC or UHPLC, from any manufacturer. In combination with the Thermo Scientific UltiMate™ 3000 LC system the Corona Veo provides a fully optimized solution, including the use of our x2 Dual UHPLC technology for consistent analyte response even with gradient applications.

RefractoMax 521From April 2013 we offer the RefractoMax 521 refractive index detector.

This universal detector is the ideal choice for the analysis of substances with no or weak UV-Vis activity, such as mono- and polysaccharides, alcohols, polymers and fatty acids.

Update of the UHPLC Troubleshooting Guide

High performance liquid chromatography is a complex separation technique and even experienced users face challenges if the analysis fails unexpectedly. To simplify the time-consuming troubleshooting with separation problems, we developed the HPLC Troubleshooting Guide wall chart in 2010. For even faster and easier availability of the advice, we have recently published the free HPLC Troubleshooting Guide mobile application for iPhone, Android, and Windows phones.

The content and layout of the Guide have been updated comprehensively to be able to offer our customers the latest information and to provide the most helpful assistance.

Launch of the ECD-3000RS Electrochemical Detector

The detector is equipped with state-of-the-art sensor technologies and can be used with an entire range of electrochemically compatible HPLC systems, including conventional and ultrafast LC.
